The word "Bespoke" gets used a lot in jewellery, and it doesn't always mean what people think it means. So we wanted to pull back the curtain and show you exactly what happens when you design a piece with us from scratch, because it's genuinely one of our favourite parts of the job.
It starts with a conversation
Every bespoke piece begins with an initial consultation in our showroom. No pressure, no obligation, just an informal chat about what you're picturing, what your budget looks like, and when you need it by. Some clients arrive with a Pinterest board and a very clear idea. Others arrive with nothing but a feeling "something like my grandmother's ring, but modern" and that's just as good a starting point. This is your piece, so it starts with your vision.
Turning ideas into a design
From there, our team creates sketches and imagery based on everything we've discussed, and we refine them together until we land on something you love. This is a genuinely collaborative stage nothing moves forward until you're excited about it.
Once the design is settled, we guide you through stone selection, whether that's a diamond or a coloured gemstone, natural or lab-grown, helping you choose something that suits both the design and your budget.
Seeing it before it exists
Here's where things get exciting: your design is rendered in precise 3D using CAD (Computer Aided Design) technology, giving you a photorealistic view of the finished piece before a single piece of metal is worked. You get to see your ring, right down to the smallest detail, and request changes, before we ever pick up a tool.
Into the hands of a master goldsmith
Once you've approved the CAD design, your piece is handcrafted by our master goldsmiths, whose attention to detail is honestly what makes bespoke feel so special. This isn't a machine stamping out a template. It's a skilled artisan building something that has never existed before, and will never exist again.
The reveal
Most bespoke commissions are completed within 4 to 6 weeks from design approval, depending on complexity, and there's really nothing quite like the moment we hand over the finished piece, whether that's here in the showroom or delivered securely to your door.
Commissions start from £1,800, with the final cost depending on materials, design complexity, and stone selection, and we always talk you through a full quote before any work begins, so there are never any surprises.
If you've got an idea in your head that you can't find anywhere else, or a piece of family jewellery you'd love to see reimagined, we'd love to hear about it. Get in touch or book a consultation, and let's start sketching.
